Golden brown chicken pakoras are the ultimate winner for get-togethers and family reunions! Picture tender pieces of chicken marinated in a spicy-tangy mixture and coated in a crispy besan coating. When fried to perfection, they turn into irresistible nuggets of pure bliss. So grab your wok and let’s get fryin’!
In a large bowl, combine the besan, rice flour, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, lemon juice, and salt & pepper. Mix well.
Gradually add water to the mixture, a little at a time, and whisk until you have a batter with a smooth consistency.
Add the chicken pieces to the batter, making sure they are well coated. Allow the chicken to marinate in the batter for at least 30 minutes before frying.
Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
Carefully drop the chicken pieces into the hot oil and fry until crispy and golden brown.
Remove the fried chicken pakoras from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb any excess oil.
Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
